THE AUSTRALIAN Pink Floyd Show will return to the Victoria Theatre in Halifax next year.

Fans of the tribute band will need to wait until November 30, 2021 to see the band described as "kings of the genre" by the Daily Mirror.

The Australian Pink Floyd Show was performed for the first time in 1988 in Adelaide, Australia, and since then has been performed in 35 countries across the world.

The band played at Floyd member David Gilmour’s 50th birthday celebration and were joined on stage by Rick Wright.

A spokesman said: "Performing the music of Pink Floyd with critically-acclaimed perfection, this critically acclaimed tribute show has been astonishing audiences worldwide.

"Striving to reproduce the Pink Floyd experience and bring the music to new audiences, the show continues to include a stunning light and laser show, video animations, state of the art high resolution LED screen technology and other special effects.

"To accompany these visuals are several large inflatables including a giant pig and their own distinct Pink Kangaroo."

Tickets for the Halifax concert were last week offered free to NHS staff, and are now on sale to the general public by visiting victoriatheatre.co.uk.
