THE ULTIMATE 70s Show is the title of a hits concert due to be performed at King’s Hall in Ilkley on May 22 next year. The audience are urged to wear fancy dress as they ‘get on down’ for the party night, rescheduled from June 20 this year.

A spokesman said: “It was the decade that fashion forgot - but dust off your lurex loons as the Seventies are back in town, recreating one of the glamest periods in music. “It’s a totally live tribute to the rock and pop idols of the 1970s, featuring hits from Queen, Slade, Roxy Music, Alice Cooper, T Rex, The Sweet, David Bowie, Suzie Quatro, Mud, Chicory Tip and many more.

“Martin Metcalf, former guitarist with legendary group Geordie, is one of seven 70s rockers and session musicians who make up Ultimate 70s. The band also features the powerhouse male vocals of Chris Peters and other band members whose credits include playing with and supporting legendary musicians like Sting and INXS.”

Coming to St George’s Hall in Bradford on April 25 next year will be The Stage Is Yours, rescheduled from June 7 this year. The show is billed as a unique opportunity for dancers across the UK to perform at a leading professional theatre.

The spokesman said: “This truly is the opportunity of a lifetime for dancers and their teachers to perform to an audience filled with family and friends. The Stage Is Yours guarantees a fun-illed show featuring various genres of dance in exciting, memorable routines performed by groups from a variety of dance troupes, dance schools and theatre schools.”
