YOUNG people from across Keighley came together online to express support for Black Lives Matter.

A host of youth organisations got involved with the online demo as part of the global movement to stamp out racism.

The event was coordinated by Bradford Council's Youth Service team in Keighley.

Youth worker Johnson-Renshaw , said in people in Keighley want to get involved: "Young people across Keighley wanted to get involved in the Black Lives Matter demonstrations, but in a safe way for them.

"They raised their concerns with local youth workers. This led to youth organisations across Keighley coming together in June to hold online demonstration.

"Young people created banners and people had a chance to speak and share poems. The event brought people together from all the different communities in our town who want to stand up against racism."

Organisations taking part included Project 6, JAMES, Keighley College, Highfield Community Association, Community Action Bradford & District, E5 Women & Girls Keighley, BCA Keighley, ICLS Education, Step 2, Roshni Gar, KAWACC, Keighley Parish Group, Bradford Youth S and Bradford Council.
