RESIDENTS across the district are being urged to ensure they continue having a say in elections.
Bradford Council is encouraging people who aren’t registered to respond as quickly as possible when they receive electoral registration forms through the post.
In an alteration to the normal system this year, people will only have to respond if there’s been a change in their household – or if they’re told they need to.
Anyone who does have to inform the council of a change is asked to do so without delay to alleviate the need, during the ongoing pandemic, of a doorstep visit.
Kersten England, the electoral registration and returning officer for Bradford district, said: “It’s important that residents keep an eye out for messages from the council so we have the right details on the electoral register for every address in the district.
“It’s really important that everyone who is entitled to vote is able to do so. Simply follow the instructions in your registration form.”
