SILSDEN is being added to the list of libraries in Bradford district offering a new ‘Order and Collect’ service for books.

The volunteer-run library in Silsden Town Hall is due to reopen on Monday July 27, joining Keighley Library on the list providing the service.

The new service allows customers to order books by reserving from Bradford Libraries’ online catalogue as well as by email or phone.

Customers can collect their orders at an agreed time slot from libraries that are open. There will be a single collection point in each library and customers can also return their books.

To help customers make book choices and discuss reading preferences, library staff will also be available via phone and email and will put together a pack of books for customers.

Bradford Council has planned for a gradual, phased approach to reopening libraries that prioritises the safety of staff and customers.
