LIKE other organisations, Keighley-district Scouts have been unable to meet in the traditional way or take part in mass gatherings or camps since the start of lockdown.
Groups have turned to alternative means, such as virtual meetings and online activities, to continue their Scouting.
This week we turn the clock back to around a century ago and a procession of Scouts in Keighley, photographed heading from Cavendish Street into Lawkholme Crescent.
The Scout headgear was based on a hat popular in the Boer War, where the movement’s founder, Lord Baden-Powell, fought with distinction.
