A book based on a haunted house in Millom has been penned by its former occupant.
Suranne Keane's 'You're not superstitious, are you?: A true story of a mysterious Cumbrian home' serves as a memoir of growing up in the house between 1961-1971.
Suranne said: "The family generally loved living in Millom because of the wonderful community around us. Black Combe was such a landmark to us and even now I miss the closeness of it and the proximity of the sea."
The house, built in1871, seems unassuming, but Suranne notes the dark corners, mutable shadows, and the events happening that could not be attributed to human intervention.
She said: "There are many tales of haunted properties in and around the Millom area and even along the same street."
