ONE thousand pupils across Furness are set to receive a free stationery pack upon their transition into secondary school.
Year Seven pupils attending Ulverston Victoria High School, Walney School, Furness Academy, St Bernard’s High School and Dowdales this September will all receive a stationery pack to help them move to their secondary schools.
The scheme is being led by the Inspiring Barrow Kickstart programme, which delivers fun and engaging activities to young people across the area.Pupils will receive draw string bags containing a pencil case, Pritt Stick, protractors, highlighter, purple and blue pens, rubbers, erasers and coloured pencils, and a sharpener.
