A CAMPAIGN promoting Keighley’s independent businesses returns next month – and it will be bigger than ever.

Prizes worth a total of £8,000 will be up for grabs.

Under the scheme, shoppers collecting stamps at participating businesses are entered into a prize draw.

There will be three weekly draws, each seeing four shoppers scooping £500 apiece in vouchers.

And someone will win a whopping £2,000 of vouchers in a final draw.

The initiative is organised by Keighley Business Improvement District.

Its manager, Paul Howard, said: “The Keighley Independents Campaign has gone from strength to strength since it first started.

“It has become a staple of the local retail community, of which the majority are small and diverse independent businesses. This year’s campaign will not only be bigger and better for the customers who participate, but also for the businesses.”

A full list of participating businesses – which include shops, cafes and restaurants – will be released before the campaign begins on September 1.
