THE draws for the first two rounds of the Women's FA Cup have been made, with most of our sides having a bye through to the Preliminary Round stage.

Bradford (Park Avenue) have a home tie on September 20, but will play Ossett United from the Regional Premier Division, one level above.

Thackley entertain West Riding Premier rivals Ripon City.

Brighouse Sports are also at home, but will have to wait to find out their opponents from the Extra Preliminary Round clash between Appleby Frodingham and South Cave.

Farsley Juniors have a potential derby game, if Farsley Celtic Women are successful at Harrogate Town.

Silsden have to start at the Extra Preliminary Round stage on September 6 and will visit Sheffield and Hallamshire Division One counterparts, Harworth Colliery. If successful, they have an away tie at Sheffield Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in their midweek pre-season friendly, Bradford City Women lost 1-0 to Ossett at Ingfield.

Ossett had more of the action in the first half, with Ellie Betteridge delivering a 34th minute goal.

Early in the second half, City were awarded a penalty, but the shot sailed over the bar. United then had a goal disallowed, with the score remaining 1-0 to the hosts.

Tomorrow at 6:45pm, Brighouse Sports Ladies welcome Leeds United to Russel Way.

Sports now have a new manager in Aaron Beaumont.

Long-term boss Richard Monday has finally hung up his clipboard, seeing his team change its name several times in his ten-year tenure.

However, he will still be at their games alongside wife Jackie, supporting regular team member, daughter Kirsty.
