HARDEN-based sports turf firm STRI Group has completed the acquisition of a leading geo-environmental engineering and design consultancy.

The St Ives estate company has bought EPG, which will continue to operate under its own brand.

EPG – founded in 1998 – provides a range of specialist services including land remediation design, geotechnical engineering and flood risk management. Its client base includes Government agencies, major developers, sports facilities and private clients.

It has worked closely with STRI Group for a number of years, supporting the delivery of large-scale water management and contaminated land projects.

EPG managing director, Paul Culleton, said: “Joining STRI Group provides the perfect platform for us to expand our innovative design services to a broader client base. Our combined commitment to research, testing and training will underpin our market-leading status.”

STRI director, Lee Penrose, said: “We are delighted to welcome EPG. The combined expertise presents a unique offering. STRI continues to drive environmental excellence and is 100 per cent convinced that this is the perfect fit.”
