KEIGHLEY music venue Studio 5 Live is preparing for the return of bands and singers this autumn and winter.

Local promoters BAC2LIVE have announced plans to resume gigs at the venue at the Jam on Top music studio in Dalton Lane.

The season will begin on November 13 with Cormac Neeson, lead singer with The Answer whose solo show will include songs from critically-acclaimed album White Feathers.

Chantel McGregor will return to Keighley on February 13 with her power trio to play blues/rock music. The gig has been twice rescheduled due to Covid-19, and all tickets remain valid.

April 30 next year will see renowned American guitarist Warner E Hodges returning to Studio 5 Live with his band following their "storming" concert in 2019, in support the newly released album Just Feels Right which was recorded in country music capital Nashville.

Promoter Steve Waite said: "In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and following strict social distancing guidelines, Studio 5 has had to cut its capacity by 60% to be able to operate as an all-seated venue.

"A one-way system will be established for access to the bar and the refurbished toilets, temperature checks will be taken on entry, and face coverings will be mandatory other than when seated.

Steve warned that all events were subject to local and national lockdown regulations and could be postponed at short notice.

But he added: "BAC2LIVE are confident the shows will go ahead and are excited to get live music back into the area, also to thank the support of fans who have supported live music by holding onto their tickets in anticipation of the rescheduled shows.

"Together with Brian and Tracey at Jam on Top, we are eager to see some familiar faces coming back to Studio 5 Live. Support your local venues and keep music live!"
