SUE Ryder’s newest Keighley charity shop has been officially opened.

Keighley MP Robbie Moore performed the honours at the outlet, at Alston Retail Park, near B&Q.

The shop is Sue Ryder’s third in the town.

Manager, Lianne Smith, said: “Opening a new store in Keighley – ‘home’ to Sue Ryder Manorlands hospice – is a really exciting retail development for us.

“There is something for everyone in the new premises and I am sure shoppers will be delighted by the exceptional quality and value and the wide range of goods we are selling.

“The funds raised from the shop will help ensure Sue Ryder can be there when it matters for those in need of palliative, neurological or bereavement support.”

Items on offer include second-hand clothes, accessories, homeware, electricals, music and books.

Sue Ryder is also appealing for volunteers to help in the shop. There is a wide range of roles available, from sorting and preparing stock to assisting with sales.

The store features a number of measures to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
