A HIP hop video promoting an anti-bullying message has been made in Keighley.
The video – We Don't Play – features Keighley-based hip hop star Islam Hussain, aka Issy, and up-and-coming Bradford rapper NVN Slime.
Issy – who is also an award-winning poet – says the idea for the video originated when he was studying in the sixth form at South Craven School, Cross Hills.
"The Covid-19 lockdown has given me an opportunity to write up to 30 songs and now I’m working with beat makers from London and New York to develop them," he said.
"I want to use my rap songs to raise awareness of issues such as anti-bullying, depression, poverty and domestic violence.
"My parents have been a great inspiration in helping me with my music and arts and in my further education."
Issy's father, Saby Khan, directed the video. And the cameraman and editor was James King, of Da Hills Productions in Bradford.
Anyone wishing to book Issy to perform should call Saby Khan Media on 07534 566667.
