EVENTS planned this year by a model railway club have hit the buffers.
Covid-19 restrictions have led to the cancellation of Keighley Model Railway Club's events programme.
Attractions to be hit include the popular annual 7mm Festival, due to be held next month.
"We are sorry to have to cancel the festival – it is one of our premier events – but the current Government restrictions on gatherings mean it wouldn't be possible for it to go ahead," said Steve Ward, for the club.
"We hope to be able to hold it next year."
He adds that under present guidelines members are allowed, whilst adhering to strict protocols, to work on their layouts at the clubrooms.
But the club is not currently open to the public.
"With all events normally attended by the public cancelled this will leave a shortfall in our income," added Mr Ward. "Times are hard for everyone."
