A COWLING couple are offering a £500 reward for the safe return of a pet cat which has been missing from home since mid-August.

Matthew Down said he and his partner, Aysha, adopted Benito from Yorkshire Cat Rescue, in Keighley, in January 2016 when he was 12 weeks old.

"Since then he has become a much loved member of the family. Benito is five years old and has a very friendly personality," said Matthew.

"He is furry / long haired, predominantly white but with browny/black tabby patches on his side and along his back. He has a fairly distinctive brown tabby bushy tail and at the time he went missing he was wearing a blue collar with a bell, although this can be hard to see because of his long hair.

"Benito is neutered and microchipped and has never gone missing before, so this is very much out of character. He went missing from Cowling Hill Lane on August 13. We have placed posters all around the surrounding area, posted all over Facebook and other forums. We have been out every night since we last saw him, in the hope that we will find him.

"Benito would often be seen walking along the walls by the fields near to his home. We have had a number of possible sightings around Green Lane, in Glusburn, but we are yet to positively identify him or bring him home.

"As Benito is a much-loved member of the family, we are offering a £500 reward for his safe return.
