KEIGHLEY MP Robbie Moore has praised a fitness studio in the town.

He paid tribute to Hi Energy during a visit to the premises, when he met operator Julie Cardus-Anderson.

She outlined the changes that had been carried out to make the ladies-only centre Covid-secure.

Screens have been hung between all the exercise machines and each separate unit is equipped with its own sanitising station.

Special fans have also been installed to ensure an effective flow of air through the studio.

And capacity has been halved to ten users at a time.

An app has been launched which covers basic services such as bookings and payments, offers health and nutritional tips and gives details of exercises that can be done from home.

Mr Moore said: “I enjoyed meeting Julie and am very impressed by the changes she has undertaken to make Hi Energy a Covid-safe, enjoyable venue to attend.

“I fully understand that the changes she has made have been difficult and expensive and the creativity it has required can’t be understated.”

As a thank-you to NHS staff, they are being offered a discount and free T-shirt when they join.
