TWO women have appeared before Leeds Crown Court charged with murdering 16-month-old Star Hobson.
Savanna Brockhill, 27, of Hawthorn Close, Keighley, and Frankie Smith, 19, of Wesley Place, Halifax Road, Keighley, both pleaded not guilty to the charge.
They also denied causing or allowing the death of the little girl.
The women were on video links from HMP Styal and HMP New Hall where they are being held on remand.
Both were sent to the crown court by Bradford and Keighley magistrates on September 28.
Star, from Keighley, was taken to hospital on September 22 and pronounced dead a short time later.
Judge Tom Bayliss QC set a trial date of May 4 next year before a High Court Judge in Bradford.
It is expected to last about four weeks.
