THREE women – and a dog – completed the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands.

Amy Thompson, sisters Georgina and Charlotte Clarkson and Mexican pooch Milou coined-in £1,000 through the 25-mile challenge.

The route takes in the summits of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

Charlotte said: “Manorlands holds a dear place in all of our hearts and we wanted to raise as much as we could for the charity to thank it for all the hard work it does.”

The group originally aimed to raise £300, but after surpassing that upped the target to £1,000.

Manorlands supports patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families at the hospice and in the community, across an area covering Craven, Airedale and Wharfedale as well as parts of Bradford.

Services are free to patients and loved ones, but it costs £10,000 a day to keep the hospice running.
