KEIGHLEY-district parks could be in the running for a top accolade.

The search has begun for Britain’s favourite park.

People are being invited to make their choice from all the latest winners of the coveted Green Flag Award, which include Cliffe Castle Park in Keighley and Central Park at Haworth.

Go to greenflagaward.org, find your choice of park on the winners map and click the vote button.

Voting closes on November 25 and the top ten winning parks will be revealed on December 3.

Paul Todd, international Green Flag Award manager for Keep Britain Tid, said: “This year, probably more than ever, we have all come to understand the importance of our precious parks and green spaces and to value those that have been a lifeline for us in difficult times.

“They have been a place to escape to, to meet friends in, to exercise in or simply to have a quiet moment in.

“The People’s Choice Award is your chance to show how much your favourite park means to you. Make your voice heard and vote now. And once you’ve voted, why not encourage others to get involved too?

“Thanks to the tireless work of parks staff and volunteers around the country, a record-breaking 2,061 parks and green spaces have been given a Green Flag Award – the international quality mark for parks and green spaces.”

Last year, tens of thousands of people voted for their favourite park, with winners coming from across the UK.
