A NEW project is bringing together women and girls across Keighley to focus on creativity and what activities they would like to see on their doorstep.

Behind the initiative are Keighley Creative and professional photographer Lisa Holmes.

Initial sessions, via Zoom, will give participants the chance to talk about creative pursuits they currently enjoy – which could be anything from dancing or painting to gardening. And then in the New Year there will be photography workshops, where everyone will receive a free professional portrait.

Funding for the 100 Creative Women and Girls of Keighley project is being provided by The Leap.

Project administrator, Emma Rochford, says: “This is an amazing opportunity for the women and girls of Keighley. The project is open to all living within a Keighley postcode. You don’t need to consider yourself arty to take part – in fact, finding out about your hidden creativity is all part of the fun!”

Initial consultation sessions, via Zoom, take place from Saturday (Dec 5).
