TWO Wharfedale schools are celebrating being ranked among the North of England’s best.

Prince Henry’s Grammar School, in Otley, and Bramhope Primary have both been rated highly in the Sunday Times’ Parent Power Schools Guide 2021.

Bramhope Primary is listed as one of the top ten schools in Leeds while Prince Henry’s is ranked among the top twenty in the north – and in the top 10 per cent in the country.

The schools are both founding partners in the Collaborative Learning Trust, a Leeds-based multi academy trust.

And in further positive news for the Trust its newest member, St Mary’s Primary Academy in Hunslet, has launched its first virtual open day.

The initiative s designed to allow parents and carers of reception age children to ‘look’ around the school and experience something of its atmosphere while avoiding the movement restrictions that are in place to tackle COVID-19.

Janet Sheriff is the CEO of the Collaborative Learning Trust and Headteacher of Prince Henry’s.

She said: “We are so proud of our schools this week.

“These good news stories really showcase the hard work of the staff and students at all three schools and are real achievements.

“We are really pleased that working together as part of the Collaborative Learning Trust has contributed to such tangible benefits so quickly.”
