A KEIGHLEY funeral director is remembering all those it has cared for during the year – and supporting a charity in their memory.

David Gallagher Funeral Directors has again placed a Christmas tree at its Airedale House premises, with a white light representing each person looked after.

And the company has donated £2,000 to the Airedale Hospital and Community Charity.

The cause – the official charity of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust – aims to support employee wellbeing and improve the experience of patients.

During the pandemic, the charity has responded quickly to support employee wellbeing across various areas – from providing refreshments, to improving health and morale.

Company director, Adele Gallagher, said: “We have all felt the pressure of the pandemic during 2020 and our amazing team has worked tirelessly in supporting all of our clients.

“NHS staff have proved invaluable in steering us all through such difficult times. We hope that our donation will go a small way to saying ‘thank you’ to them from our team and all our clients.”
