WHARFEDALE’S musicians are being invited to join in a number of online festive play-along events.
The Woolpack Music Studios will stage Hits From the Movies, featuring 14 classic songs on Zoom, on Saturday, December 19. The event - running from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, with an optional quiz afterwards - costs £10 per household which includes a PDF songbook with chord diagrams for guitar and ukulele players, practice videos and access. On Christmas Eve the Woolpack will be holding an Unashamedly Christmassy Sing-Along from 4pm to 5.30pm. This session is free - with a suggested donation of £5 per household - and will involve performing 15 Christmas songs. To reserve a place send an e-mail to richard@bighooha.co.uk.
The studios will round off 2020 with a New Year’s Eve Variety Show that starts at 10.30pm on Thursday, December 31, with viewers being invited to ‘do a turn’ in any way they like. The event is also free with an optional donation and places should be booked.
