BRAMHOPE’S churches are preparing to celebrate Christmas.

Rev Tom Lusty has outlined what will be going on at St Giles Parish Church in the Winter 2020 edition of the Village Newsletter,. He said “Services are on a first come, first served basis with a maximum capacity due to social distancing of 60 people in the church and church hall. Face masks must be worn and contact details given for test and trace.”

The church will be holding a 9.30am Parish Communion on Sunday, December 20 and on Christmas Eve a 10.30am Holy Communion Book of Common Prayer will be followed by a 4pm Christingle and a brief Midnight Communion, from 11.30pm.

A short 9.30am Communion will be held on Christmas Day and another Christingle service will take place at 4pm on Sunday, January 31, 2021. The Christingle events must be booked and proceeds will go to the Children’s Society.

Bramhope Methodist Church meanwhile will hold a 10am Carol Service on Sunday, December 20 and a Christmas Celebration with Holy Communion at 10am on Christmas Day.
