KEIGHLEY Lions take pride in their charity work.
And although Covid-19 has hit the club’s traditional activities – the popular Santa’s sleigh was grounded last month for the first time in over four decades – members have remained active.
Covid-safe bucket collections were held at Stephen Smith’s garden centre in Harden, where a grotto would usually have been staged. And the club received a £2,500 donation from the centre.
The Lions have also supported a Healthy Growth initiative, which saw food delivered to needy families. And members have been delivering food parcels for the Salvation Army. “We have been very busy,” said a club spokesman.
