A SECOND ‘pop-up’ Covid vaccination clinic is being staged at a Keighley mosque.

The session is taking place at Central Mosque on Saturday, February 27.

It follows the success of a clinic at the same venue last week.

Around 160 people were vaccinated at that session, in the mosque’s community hall.

Behind the initiative – believed to be the first of its kind in this region – were GP groups Modality and Wharfedale, Airedale & Craven Alliance, in partnership with the Central Mosque.

“Due to the success of the first pop-up clinic and the demand for more vaccination appointments we have decided to run a second clinic at the mosque,” said a spokesman for Modality.

“If you are in the priority groups five and six you’re eligible – so that’s over-65s and those aged 16 to 64 with underlying health conditions.

“You can request an appointment by sending an email to awcmodality.mosque@nhs.net.

“Or, if you are a patient at North Street or Ling House, please contact your surgery to book in.”
