A KEIGHLEY-based firm has strengthened its sales team.

PFF Packaging has appointed Steve Cranswick as a key account manager at its Royd Ings Avenue site.

The company is one of the UK’s largest independent food packaging manufacturers, providing recyclable products for customers including supermarkets and multi-national producers.

Mr Cranswick has 30 years’ experience in the packaging industry.

His role at PFF will include developing new business and strategic accounts.

The appointment is welcomed by sales director, Ian Smith.

He said: “Steve has extensive knowledge of the packaging sector and his appointment will enhance the service we offer to our customers.

“We’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”

During the pandemic, the company has also diversified into producing personal protective equipment for the NHS.

It won a major contract from the Department of Health and Social Care to make 360 million disposable polythene aprons.

PFF has since set-up a specialist health division.
