BUSINESSES in Keighley and Craven are being urged to ‘make a pledge’.

West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce is encouraging firms to consider ways they can make a difference in their communities. The move is part of its Raising the Bar programme.

Donna Morris, for the chamber, said: “This is a fantastic way for businesses to vocalise the great things they are doing to support the community and the environment. The pledge process will encourage teams to think about and discuss where they can make a positive impact.”

Rebecca Farhall, Raising the Bar steering group member and business development manager at Naylor Wintersgill chartered accountants, said: “We have supported the Raising the Bar initiative for a number of years – it’s an excellent way for us to recognise our team’s efforts and connect with others.”
