I WAS wondering if your readership would think that the practice of killing moles and then hanging them on a barbed wire fence for all to see is an outdated Victorian practice and has no place in today’s world?
The picture was taken at the side of a popular public footpath/bridleway leading up to Low Moor and Black Pots above the Silsden road.
I’m just glad my granddaughters hadn’t accompanied me on this particular hike as I would have a hard time explaining this arcane ritual.
