AN Easter bunny was out and about distributing chocolate eggs to children at the weekend.
He dropped-off eggs in gardens across Lees cum Cross Roads.
Saturday's venture – organised by the village association – was the brainchild of stonemason and resident Barry Holdsworth, who provided his truck and numerous chocolate eggs.
Supermarkets and shops also contributed and village association members decorated the truck.
"We invited people to get in touch beforehand so we could call and drop-off a chocolate egg while the children were socially-distanced in their gardens," said a spokesman.
"Parents said it was a fantastic idea and that the children were ready for some outside fun – they were counting the sleeps till the bunny came!
"It was a big success."
