CINEMA is in the frame following the BAFTA Film Awards.

Here we look back at two classic movies, both shot around Keighley.

The timeless 1970 version of The Railway Children was filmed on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.

Starring the likes of Jenny Agutter and Bernard Cribbins, the movie helped catapult the five-mile line to international fame.

And in 1978 film crews descended once again on Keighley – and other parts of the district, including Steeton – to shoot scenes for Yanks, which starred Richard Gere and Vanessa Redgrave.
