A CHARITY has spoken of its delight following the reopening today of the organisation’s shop in Keighley town centre.
The Cats Protection outlet, in common with other non-essential retailers, welcomed back customers following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.
But the charity says measures to stop the spread of the disease – including hand sanitising stations, limits on customer numbers and rigorous cleaning – will remain in place at the Towngate shop for the safety of staff, volunteers and customers.
Area retail manager Sarah Jordan said: “It is great that we are once again able to support the work of our network of volunteers in helping cats and kittens in need.
“With so many people using lockdown as a time to have a clear-out, we expected a considerable volume of donated goods to sort through – which also means there is lots of new stock for customers to browse.”
Items on sale include second-hand clothing, accessories, books and bric-a-brac.
