THE Range has announced it is planning to open its new store in Skipton on June 4.

The home, leisure and gardening store has taken over the former Ford and Mazda site in Millennium Road, off Keighley Road, and work has been going on for some months to create a retail space.

A spokesman for the Range said: "The new store will provide great value products and everyday essentials from pet care to cleaning supplies, alongside the additional much-loved home décor, furniture, and kitchen and dining selections.

"There will be an outdoor garden centre in the new store providing everything you need to get the garden ready for the summer. departments, there will be so much to choose from! The store will also have an Iceland department, so customers can do their weekly food shop alongside grabbing their Range favourites.

"An additional 80 full and part-time jobs will be created which is sure to have a positive impact on the local economy.

"The new store will provide great value products and everyday essentials from pet care to cleaning supplies, alongside the additional much-loved home décor, furniture, and kitchen & dining selections. There will be an outdoor garden centre in the new store providing everything you need to get the garden ready for the summer. With over 18,000 products across 16 departments, there will be so much to choose from.

"The store will also have an Iceland department, so customers can do their weekly food shop alongside grabbing their Range favourites.

"In line with current Government guidelines, additional safety measures will be in place when the store opens."

The Range first opened a store in Plymouth in 1989 and there are now over 180 stores across the UK and Ireland.
