POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an incident in Keighley earlier this morning involving a gang wielding weapons.
Officers were called at 4.17am to reports of a group of people causing damage to parked cars in Westburn Avenue.
When police arrived, the gang had fled.
There were no reports of injuries but damage was caused to the front door of a house and two vehicles had their tyres slashed.
A police cordon is in place today whilst officers examine the scene.
Enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell, of Bradford District Police, said: “This is believed to be a targeted attack and there is no threat to the wider public.
“I would encourage anyone who witnessed the incident or has any further information to come forward and speak to the police.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police via 101 quoting crime reference number 13210184572 or alternatively, information can be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
