THE occupants of this vehicle had a lucky escape when it left the road and struck a telegraph pole early this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene – in Oakworth Road, Keighley, at the junction with Lister Street – at about 12.45am.
Two male occupants in the BMW 140i managed to get themselves out of the vehicle.
They were taken by ambulance to Airedale Hospital, but their injuries were not believed to be serious.
Fire crews from Keighley and Bingley attended. A fire service technical rescue unit from Cleckheaton was also sent to the scene, but wasn't required.
Watch commander Ahsan Ali, of Keighley fire station, said: "Considering the extent of the damage to the car, the occupants were very lucky to get out without serious injuries.
"We made the vehicle and the scene safe."
Firefighters were there for around an hour.
