KEIGHLEY’S Ahmadiyya Muslim Association has given a £523 boost to Manorlands.

The money was raised through members’ donations for Ramadan.

President, Mujeeb Rahman, said the association tried to support the work of the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice annually.

He added: “As in previous years, we wanted to provide assistance to those in need. Our aim is to serve humanity and promote our motto – ‘love for all, hatred for none’.

“We try to help charities across the country through fundraising walks – as well as holding collections for the Poppy Appeal at supermarkets – but members were keen to surpass past efforts by collecting money purely through donations for the hospice.”

Over the years Ahmadiyya Muslim Association has raised millions of pounds for UK charities, donated tons of food and clothing and taken part in other activities such as tree planting.
