KEIGHLEY businesses are being urged to help add a splash of colour to the town centre this summer.
Gardener Steve Thorpe is asking firms to consider sponsoring a hanging basket, to be placed in North Street or Cavendish Street.
The cost is £100 a basket, which includes all maintenance throughout the summer.
“I’ve got a few businesses that have said they are coming on board but I would love to hear from more,” said Steve.
“There will be no Keighley BID baskets this year – which would usually be 38 – so that will leave a considerable gap.
“I know how much pleasure people get from seeing the hanging baskets.
“They add a bit of colour to the town.
“And after all that’s happened in the past year, people will benefit from a boost now more than ever.”
The baskets will be put in place early next month.
