PROJECTS that benefit the health and wellbeing of people across Airedale could receive cash aid.

Keighley Community Health Grants is awarding funding of between £5,000 and £15,000 to schemes.

A pot of £200,000 in total is available to distribute through the Give Bradford and Power to Change initiative.

GP partnership Modality is among those involved in the venture.

“We are proud to have played a part in bringing extra funds and investment to Airedale – working with Power to Change and local funder Give Bradford,” said a spokesman.

“We want to help support and encourage communities and groups to get back up and running and give people the chance to get out and about again.

“Health and wellbeing is about so much more than pills and medication.

“We know that being active and connected can really improve people’s wellbeing.

“We are looking for applications for projects that can benefit the health and wellbeing of the people of Airedale.”

In the last round of funding, over £179,000 was distributed among 13 community organisations.
