BUSINESSMAN Andrew Mear hopes specially created T’-shirts featuring his customised campervan will help raise funds for the charity Parkinson’s UK.
Mr Mear bought the VW Campervan a couple of years ago, restored it and had it painted with Skipton scenes and landmarks.
He said: “Skipton people have really taken the camper van to their hearts. It showcases a number of well-known local landmarks so we thought by creating T-shirts featuring the van, they could show their support for the town and raise vital money for a good cause at the same time.
“It has been a particularly tough year for charities including Parkinson’s UK, which is dedicated to improving life for everyone affected by the condition.”
Mr Mear has already raised £2,700 for the charity through sales of his specially created Skipton calendar last Christmas. The T-shirts are on sale at The Home Company, High Corn Mill for £20, half of which will be donated to Parkinson’s.
