A MAN has been sentenced after being caught with a knuckleduster.
Michalko Farkas, 22, of Pembrook Street, West Bowling, appeared before Leeds Magistrates’ Court on May 8, pleading guilty on that day to a charge of possessing an offensive weapon.
He was caught with the knuckleduster on September 28, 2019 at Tudor Court, Swarland Grove, off Manchester Road. The block of flats is among those which has now been demolished.
Farkas was given a 12-month conditional discharge, but was ordered to pay a £21 surcharge and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, totalling £106. This will be paid at £5 per week.
The court also ordered the forfeiture of the knuckleduster.
