A CHARITY is seeking volunteers to help with a Yorkshire Three Peaks fundraising walk.

More than 1,000 people are expected to take part in the British Heart Foundation event, on the weekend of July 17 and 18.

A range of volunteer roles and shifts is available, with tasks including helping with setting-up, providing information and refreshments to participants and handing out medals.

Training and support will be on offer and Covid safety measures in place.

Tracey Crich, volunteering manager at the British Heart Foundation, said: "Our events wouldn’t be a success without the hard work and dedication of our valued volunteers. We urgently need more to sign-up and help with the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

"Volunteering is open to people from all walks of life and is both exciting and rewarding. Not only can you meet new people, but you can also develop new skills and gain events experience.

"We would ask anyone who has some time to spare on July 17/18 to please get in touch as soon as possible, as your generous support will make such a difference."
