A STEETON nursing home has won recognition for a 100 per cent Covid vaccination rate amongst its staff.

Currergate – part of the Czajka Care Group – has received a platinum certificate from the Bradford Council department of health and wellbeing.

The presentation was made before the Government announced that from later this year, subject to parliamentary approval, it will be mandatory for all care-home workers to be fully vaccinated.

Czajka Care Group managing director, Konrad Czajka, said: “We are extremely grateful for the dedication our Currergate Nursing Home team has shown throughout this difficult pandemic – and the fact that every single one of them is vaccinated is a fantastic milestone. They are all playing a vital part in ensuring our residents are kept safe from this terribly infectious and deadly disease.”

Currergate registered manager, Cath Davies, said: “We care for older and vulnerable people, so it’s essential that we put their needs first and make sure they are as safe as possible. Their families and loved ones trust us with their care and it is a real privilege to be a part of their lives.”
