AIREDALE is among more than 20 hospitals across Yorkshire to share in a £60,000 boost from the region’s Freemasons.
The Steeton hospital is receiving £3,000 for two ‘garden pods’, which will be used by staff during rest breaks.
The donation is from the Freemasons’ Province of Yorkshire West Riding, which will be joining colleagues across the country on Monday in celebrating NHS, Social Care & Frontline Workers’ Day.
Provincial Grandmaster, David S Pratt, said: “The whole country owes our NHS staff and social care workers a huge debt of gratitude for everything they have done since the start of the pandemic.
“We are delighted to be giving this £60,000 donation, which will benefit staff in 21 hospitals. Our membership comprises men from all walks of life and I’m proud to say we have plenty working in the medical and caring profession.”
