HAWORTH Band gave a well-attended riverside performance.
Members played at Wetherby Bandstand – although the bandstand itself couldn’t be used due to social distancing restrictions.
The varied programme included Memory, West Side Story, Aces High and – to coincide with the Euros football – fans’ favourite Sweet Caroline!
A band spokesperson said: “A member of the audience also requested the hymn tune Deep Harmony for a relative celebrating her 102nd birthday. This tune was originally written by Handel Parker for the Haworth Band, so it was a pleasure to play it.”
The band’s next event is the Pride Picnic at Cliffe Castle on August 21, 1.15pm.
