A BATTLE of the decades will help ‘relaunch’ Oakworth Community Trust activities following the easing of lockdown restrictions.

The 80s versus the 90s duel will take place over two days – Friday, September 24 and Saturday, September 25 – at the village hall.

“The DJ will be playing everyone’s favourite music from between 1980 and 1999 – and probably a few tunes people have forgotten!” said Alison Boole, events team lead for the trust.

“The idea is to reunite the community, after being apart for almost 18 months.

“There will be music and dancing – and of course the bar will be open.

“Tickets are selling fast.

“We hope to see you there!”

The event is open to over-18s only and any Government guidelines in place at the time to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 will be adhered to.

Tickets are priced £10, which includes a glass of Prosecco or bottle of lager on arrival.
