CHARITIES across the district are being urged to apply for cash aid from a housebuilder’s community fund.

Barratt Developments Yorkshire West – whose schemes include Vision in Keighley and Saxon Dene, at Silsden – is inviting applications from good causes.

A different charity each month receives up to £1,000.

The fund’s focus is on supporting organisations that promote social inclusion, help the environment and nature, or promote physical and mental health or education.

Applications are now being invited for the period from October through to December.

Ian Ruthven, managing director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, said: “We are delighted to once again be opening nominations for our community fund.

“The initiative is dedicated to supporting as many registered charities across the region as possible.

“We are delighted to have already helped numerous deserving organisations with the incredible work that they are doing at a local level in their communities.

“We look forward to welcoming further nominations and building relationships with even more fantastic charities across the region.”

Applications should be emailed to lisa.prudhoe@barratthomes.co.uk by Friday, September 10.
