A HOUSEBUILDER has served-up support to a food bank.
Barratt Developments Yorkshire West – whose schemes include Vision in Keighley and Saxon Dene, Silsden – has donated £1,000 to Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank.
The money is from the company’s community fund, through which a donation is made to a local or national charity every month.
Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank provides emergency supplies to vulnerable people in partnership with social services, the NHS and housing associations.
Over 20,000 food bags have been distributed to those in need during the pandemic.
Ian Ruthven, managing director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, said: “We are always looking for ways to continue to support the communities in which we build, so we are thrilled that we were able to support Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank through our community fund.
“We look forward to working with more charities and organisations across the region which will benefit from our community fund.”
Applications for the latest round of funding close on September 10. Email lisa.prudhoe@barratthomes.co.uk.
