REGARDING the Steeton & Silsden railway station car park, why spend £4.6 million on something that's not needed?

If rail bosses did their homework I think they would find that over 50 per cent of car drivers who park at Steeton live in North Yorkshire, and drive into West Yorkshire to benefit from cheaper fares.

People who work in Leeds or Bradford but live outside West Yorkshire face having to pay nearly three times as much for their journeys.

So I say reduce the cost of travel from outside West Yorkshire and bring all fares into line.

The proposed car park will be an eyesore and would inevitably reduce the value of properties in the area.

Be sensible, Bradford Council, and allow the wood yard permission to put cars on its land.
