A HOUSING association which manages more than 1,400 homes in Keighley and Bradford is in the running for two coveted accolades.

Manningham Housing Association has been shortlisted for the Neighbourhood Transformation and Landlord of the Year titles.

The honours are up for grabs in the prestigious UK Housing Awards.

All shortlisted entrants have been invited to showcase their work next month as part of the final judging process.

And winners will be announced in a ceremony at the O2 in London on November 25.

Ulfat Hussain, Manningham Housing Association’s assistant chief executive and director of operations, said: “I am incredibly proud of the team, which has worked so hard throughout the last 18 months to help residents and the surrounding communities cope with the immense challenges created by the pandemic.

“Our shortlisting for the Neighbourhood Transformation Award is the result of our Building Bridges Bradford project, which has sought to bolster community resilience and challenge racism, prejudice and division through social action activities.”
